Family Nutrition
CYFD's Family Nutrition Program provides federal funds to communities to initiate and maintain nonprofit food service programs for eligible children and adult participants in nonresidential institutions that provide care. The funds provided through the Child and Adult Care Food Program help ensure that children and adults enrolled in care facilities receive nutritious meals that meet USDA meal pattern requirements. Organizations with which CYFD contracts include: School food authorities, government entities, private non-profit organizations (such as faith based organizations, Boys & Girls Clubs and community action agencies), residential camps and national youth sports programs.
