Adopt a New Mexico Youth
Welcome to the new home of the Heart Gallery of New Mexico. Many children become available for adoption each year in New Mexico. In some cases, foster children may eventually be eligible for adoption. As an adoptive parent you are able to provide a child with a permanent, loving, stable family and the security of a forever family.
This Month's Featured Child
Name Shokie
Age 16
Gender Male
Story Kind-hearted, sensitive and charming, Waushokie is a handsome young man with a beautiful smile. Waushokie enjoys joking around and having fun; this is a "must-have" quality in your family. He enjoys playing basketball and video games with friends. Waushokie also enjoys art. His spray painting piece that is proudly displayed in his room speaks volumes as to his talent. Waushokie aspires to go to culinary school and enjoys preparing meals when possible -- and especially enjoys preparing a certain tuna dish, which he believes to be his specialty meal. His favorite food to eat is Mexican food and he particularly likes fajitas.
Waushokie's empathetic nature allows for peers to open up to him as he is always willing to "lend an ear". Although Waushokie finds school difficult at times, he tries his best. Waushokie would benefit from a flexible, but structured family who would have the patience to help him reach his potential and provide a lot of encouragement. This sweet and loving boy would like a family who will support contact with his two siblings. He has worked hard to overcome issues from his past and is ready for a forever family.
